This week we’re soaking up some sun and good vibes. For starters, a huge THANK YOU to everyone who cast their vote for Birdsong in this year’s Brews From the Sun competition.  If you haven’t shown your support yet, you have 4 more days to vote!

Tonight we have Family Feud-style trivia! It’s free, fun, and you can win sweet prizes.  Wednesday holds an opportunity for you to learn more about the ASPCA and CARE organizations.  Friday and Saturday nights are full of live music by That Guy Smitty and H.L. Ruth, respectively. And, of course, Sunday is Father’s Day so show your pops how much you care by buying him a pint in the tap room.

Wait? Did we forget THURSty THURSday? Heck no we didn’t! “Changes in Latitudes” is our tropical shirt-inspired beer with a little bit of coconut and lactose for a creamy, dreamy Piña Colada IPA that’ll transport you to the Florida Keys, the Caribbean, or wherever your imagination takes you. We’re highlighting the tropical dankness of the new Strata hop, and the addition of coconut and milk sugar (lactose) provides a slightly sweet note on the palate. This is one seriously good beer and JP will drink it all, so you probably should get down here to try it before it’s gone!

Did you know? Jimmy Buffett, leader of the “Parrotheads” and probably best known for his song “Margaritaville,” originally started off as a country singer in Nashville. After a trip to the Keys in 1971, he reportedly moved there and perfected the beach bum vibe. He’s got a lengthy discography in addition to books, restaurants, theater and movie credits.
